Winter Family Session

December 21, 2015

Love this family and their sense of adventure. Love the fact that even when things don’t quite go as they’re planned that I was still able to capture them as a family.
And really, how can you not just love that pom pom?_MG_9284 1114 Bermueller005 57 Bermueller006 57 Bermueller009 810

Okay, so I’ve been slacking in my blogging a little.  Okay okay, a lot.  To those of you who think I’ve slowly slipped into a coma of unconsciousness, please know that Cheryl Struss Photography is alive and well.  I have too much to post if I tried to blog every session, so instead I have broken them down into groupings.  Today is all about families.

Families are foundational.  It’s the comfortable place we call home.  It’s the memories, both good and bad that bind and strengthen us through the years.

Celebrating Family

Family
Like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.

Beautiful Gimli Family

March 17, 2014

I love when couples bring in items that are significant to them and their lives.  Troy is a fire fighter and his suit made for a great image with their little one.

Winter Photo Smiles

February 27, 2014

Okay, I’ll admit that this image was taken a couple of months ago and perhaps we’re not all smiling as much anymore about the snow, but I love the genuine expressions of fun and delight.  The kids bolted down the slope with the sled fast in tow…I had to jump out of the way not to get run over.  Fun times with a great family.WaltonLB0040 copy

Vintage Family, Bird’s Hill

September 24, 2013

Okay here’s a post from a session back in the middle of August.  Jocelyne is a good friend and I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her family.  She had it all planned, her uncle had a vintage car, she a dress of her mother’s from years gone by, and a whack of shopping was done for the rest of the family.Jocfam001 Jocfam002 Jocfam003 Jocfam004 Jocfam005 Jocfam006 Jocfam007

Family in the Fall

November 6, 2012

The day was windy…REALLY windy but fortunately we were able to find a bit of shelter.  Most of the leaves had fallen but still the beautiful fall colours shone through.  A wonderful time spend with a wonderful family 🙂

I ran a contest back in late winter/early spring.  Petra was the lucky winner.  Their session happened a few weeks ago but I’ve been a little slow these days in keeping up with posting images (I had posted a couple but now here’s a few more).  Thanks for letting me spend some time with your wonderful family Petra 🙂

So the summer months can be very busy for us photographers and keeping up a blog gets to be a little challenging at times.  So I’m trying to go update this a little.  Here’s a double session from June and July – maternity and new born.
I liked Tanja and Dario right away – personable, warm and inviting people.  And their little daughter Milica is a real beauty.  We had a beautiful day for their session back in June – the greenery was lush and inviting.  Little Sofija arrived in July and added more beauty to this wonderful family.  Hope you all enjoy.

I had a great time photographing Ella earlier this year (that was when the tulips were still in bloom).  It’s been a busy summer and I’m still working on keeping up with posting images for every one to see.  Well here are a few of the pages I designed for the book I created for Erin – her little girl, Ella.  The book turned out beautiful…but that was easy with such a beautiful girl.

Siblings

June 24, 2011

Sherry, Carla and Brad were fantastic to work with.  How often do siblings get together to have photographs taken of themselves.  It’s obvious that they enjoy each other’s company and just plain like each other.
